Still Waiting on Spouse Visa Extension from August

I applied to extend my visa on August 10th and was invited to use the app to do my Photo and submit my documents. I received a confirmation from the Home Office on September 26th that my application was received. It's going to be 4 months since I originally applied so getting concerned as my BRP is expired. Any advice on what to do next?

We had roughly the same timeline (applied mid-August, biometrics app early September) and finally heard on the 27th of November. As soon as we hit 8 weeks my UKC husband contacted his MP (well, my MP too but I can't vote so it seemed better coming from him!) to raise the issue, but otherwise we just waited. It was about 3 weeks from when we reached out to the MP to when we got a response, so while I'm not sure it did much it clearly didn't hurt.

Hang in there. We applied in April (and were invited / used the app in September) and I literally just got approved now. They seem very backed up.
