The stickied topic near the top of this page is old, as I wrote it out several years ago when I was going through the process. Things change all the time in immigration land, and anyone who has gone through the DCF process recently who wants to work with me on adjusting that timeline, can you just send me a message privately and we'll get some more useful up to date information on there. Thanks.
Hi very useful information. I am in Dominican Republic, and am flat broke. I reached out to the embassy via phone, received a call back, provided her with the 3 numbers she requested actually gave 4, she called me back a time later and stated a friend whom id already spoken to said he would help, yet that was NOT TRUE, as i was speaking with him at the time of her call.
She explained there was nothing further and quickly hung up the phone.
I contacted dos the next day and was referred back to the embassy.
I will go to the embassy tomorrow to speak with someone but in the meantime is there a site where i can apply online for the loan?
I have 53.00 to my name and am not on good terms at all right now with my "friend" shes asked me to leave her place this weekend.
Funny, when the money is gone the "love" goes as well. 😕
Learning experience for sure!
Any information would be much appreciated! !
Thanks
