Hello,

Just wondering I am in the middle of applying to have my spousal visa renewed. It's asked for a date when I entered the country (above that it's asked if I entered legally which I have). I am wondering if I need to quote the date I entered the country after my last visa was approved? Or what date I officially started living in the UK? I have been denied a visa and been deported (voluntarily) to apply for a new visa from home. So my last date of entry because of visa denial was March 2018, but my date of actually starting to live in the UK is December 2013. Which do they want?

Thanks for your help!

You need to use the date on the stamp for your entry clearance visa sticker in your passport.

Subsequent questions will ask about the previous refusal and overstay.  Address all of that there.

Are you using a qualified attorney for your application?  Did you use one for your successful visa application?

Thank you for your help!

I used a qualified immigration attorney for my denied visa (long story short we didn't meet the financial requirements for the years they were looking at for my visa renewal application) the attorney advised to apply under human rights and that was denied. Very frustrating situation, back at home for a few months and applied without an attorney for my successful new spousal visa renewal. Now just trying to renew this visa so that I can apply for ILR when the time is right.

Perfect.  If you applied for this visa without the aid of an attorney, you definitely don't need one for the renewal!

Use the date on your visa sticker (the 2018 one).  You'll explain the rest elsewhere in the application.
