Letter from employer - FLRm application
« on: October 27, 2020, 11:41:24 AM »
Hi folks,

Just in the process of preparing for the FLR visa application which I apply for in January.

With the whole covid situation, my boss and the rest of my team are working remotely so it tends to mean when something needs signing, an electronic signature suffices.

With regards to the letter from employer aspect of the FLR application, how do I get my boss to sign a letter when he lives in England (and I live in Scotland)? Would an eSignature be okay or does the signature need to be hand written?

Thank you

I believe an electronic signature is acceptable if you cannot get a wet signature due to Covid.

If your employer can acknowledge in the letter or an email that they are not able to provide a wet signature due to the circumstances, that may also help.

Thanks Ksand, that’s a good shout. My boss got back to me re: the letter and he thinks it should come from HR. Do you think that would be acceptable?
