New Rule Changes from Home Office

I guess I should've waited to publish my first post since the Home Office sent out this list of changes today!

I think I'm still too new to hyperlink, so I'll just leave the link separated up there. The big thing I noticed is that one can apply under the new points-based system as of December 1st for nearly all the visa schemes.

Just thought it could be helpful info for anyone looking for it!

The big ones I noticed are that bank statements must now be dated within 31 days of the application (instead of 28) and can now be electronic statements that do not need to be stamped by the bank (7.206 of the explanatory memo) - hopefully someone can confirm that I’ve understood those correctly.

Only from the date in December 2020 that immigration change starts. Those appyling before the date and time that immigratgion change comes in, will be under the old (present) immigration rules. Page 2 of Immigration Changes document (page 6 of the actual pages).

  They like to give advance warning (sometimes). That gives some people a chance to use the old rules if they suit them better.

- The changes to Appendix FM-SE don't come into effect until 31st December

- The change to allow electronic bank statements does NOT apply to Appendix FM-SE

- The change from 28 days to 31 days for the financial documents does NOT apply to Appendix FM-SE

Therefore, it looks there is no change at all to the financial requirement documents for a spousal/FLR(M)/SET(M) application.
