30 months from when?

I'm *certain* I'm being thick on this but...
My FLR(M) was approved today, and I've been given the 30 month extension. Does this extension start from now, or from the original expiry of my first BRP?
I keep second-guessing what I think is the obvious answer!

It starts from whatever ‘valid from’ date is printed on your new BRP... which I believe should be the date the visa decision was made.

You’ll just need to wait until you have received your new BRP to find out exactly what dates your 30 months start and end.

We have received our BRPs now, so I thought I'd answer this for others.
We have been allowed to stay for *32* months from the visa's date of approval.
