Biometrics appointment

Hi, I currently submitted my ILR online application right before the expiry date of my brp on 10/12/2020. My question is in regards to the appointment for the biometrics.... I live in the West Midlands and the closest hubs are in Birmingham I managed to find a like one day open for the 6/1/21 but it’s charging between £110 to £199 depending on the hub. Can some please let me know if it’s necessary for me to book this expensive appointments or could I wait until a free next spot is open?

The sooner you submit your biometrics the better it will be for you, otherwise it could take longer than expected, with COVID19 and the backlog, don't risk falling further behind.

There have been a few people that have been logging on at midnight and looking for free appointments, but you have to be quick as they are getting snapped very quickly. If you are unable to find a free appointment, I would just pay for an appointment and get it over and done with.

Hi, I just booked mine last night at exactly midnight, there are two slots available for £65 at round 1-2pm i think.

Best thing to do is to log in at 1155, then at 1159 and 50 seconds in, refresh the page, pick the Birmingham option, but the top one. A lot of people go for the second one and it gets taken pretty quick.

I didnt see any free ones, £65 was the only thing that was agreeable to me.

Thank you for the tip! I was able to find an appointment but it was Wolverhampton cause Birmingham was all taken and were £110. So I found one for £69.99 at least is better than the other ones.
