Please Help! Lost Passport before appointment

Hi all,

I have my appointment with Sopra Steria in two days for my British Citizenship application (via Spouse of a British citizen). Today I went to upload my documents and....my husband's passport is gone. I can't understand it. We have searched high and low...I have a dreadful feeling that it might have been thrown away during a clear out a few weeks ago...

I'm just wondering what you wonderful people would suggest doing? Cancel to appointment and try to get a new one? Of course for the application I have used his lost one (passport number etc.). Please please help

I suggest sending a cover letter with your application, uploading, to explain it.

In the meantime, you can possibly send something else - birth certificate - and they should still have access to his passport by the number (surely?). It might be worth giving the passport advice line a call: 0300 222 0000 - they're open until 8pm.
