Biometrics Appointment: Scanning Service?
« on: June 01, 2021, 07:39:01 PM »
Hi all.  I have booked my biometrics for my FLR for 11th June, but I'm not sure if I have booked for the scanning service.  The appointments were disappearing as I was looking so I just clicked madly til one was booked!  I paid £73.50, and the place is in Peterborough (Regus), St John's Street, Stuart House.

There were no options to add any additional services except for getting text updates.  Does anyone know if this is a centre that does scanning?  Or do I need to scan my own docs?  I have tried googling to no avail.

Really hoping I paid for the scanning service!  Thanks for your help.

Yes, that location is an Enhanced Service Point, so you have booked an Enhanced appointment which already includes both document checking and document scanning.

Do you know what happens after the appointment? I mean, do I  need to send off the scanned docs myself or is that part of the service?

You don’t need to do anything as it will all be done for you :).

At the appointment:
- they take your fingerprints and photo
- you hand them your documents
- they check, scan and upload the documents
- they hand you back the documents
- you go home and wait for the visa to be processed

When the visa has been processed they will email you to notify you of the decision and then mail the BRP to you within 10 working days.

Question regarding tenancy agreemements:  I seem to recall someone mentioning that you only need to provide those covering you from the date your application was made onward, nothing earlier.  Can anyone confirm?

My app was made around 25th May, and we signed a new tenancy agreement for six more months which began 29th May and will finish 28th Nov.  So I just need to provide the most recent agreement and the one before, is that right?  Is the six months lease okay?  I haven't seen anywhere that there is a minimum length required, so hopefully this is okay!

You just need to include your CURRENT lease to show that you will continue to have somewhere suitable to live AFTER your visa has been granted.

There’s no minimum term required on the tenancy (as long as it doesn’t expire imminently) so 6 months will be fine.

The only reason you might include previous tenancy agreements is if you are using them as one or more of your cohabitation documents.
