To answer your question

No, I have not completed a self assessment for a US individual on a remittance basis while in the UK.

Your choice to pick your reason for why this is the case, two options:
1.  I have no idea what I’m talking about and therefore my opinion isn’t qualified
2.  My USC employees physically based in the UK are unable to meet the criteria for a non-domiciled path

If I’m honest, I wish this was the kind of stuff I was dealing with.  If I told you the complexities I have with international business you’d realise why this is FAR more effort than it’s worth.  And I am TIGHT.   I hate paying the tax man.  I hate paying for parking.   I can go on for days.  Trust me, I’m always looking for ways to save.  This is not the hill I have chosen to die on.   ;D

My takeaway:  Dubai would be a desirable location for you to work and only incur US tax.
