Citizenship application questions on previous immigration applications

Hello everyone,

I'm preparing my UK citizenship application and have reached the point where it is asking me for all my previous immigration applications. From what I've dug up, I see that I do need to include all my prior visa applications (spouse visa, FLR(M), ILR) and they seem to be requesting very specific details - dates, locations, etc.

With regard to my first spousal visa application, the question reads, "Was this application made in the UK?" and I specifically remember that this visa could not be applied for while in the UK. I applied while in the US, so I've answered no.

Then a follow-up question pops up. "Where was it made?" with a text-field-box open for me to respond. The example answer given is: For example, New York or British Consulate General New York.

But I can't remember! I feel as if I vaguely recall the application first going to New York, then being sent on to Sheffield, but I can't seem to find any information on that? (All my emails reference Sheffield)

So, is the answer here - New York or the British Consulate in New York, or where I was at the time I actually applied (Los Angeles)?

Sorry for the confusion, I just don't want to be sure I fully understand what I'm being asked here!

I put that the application was sent to the British Consulate in NY and processed in Sheffield.

One further question: for these previous application questions -- is it only for these paper applications they're asking for, or do I need to also include when I've come for visits previously? (But did not apply for visitor visas ahead of time, they just stamped me at the border upon landing?)...

I'm just gathering my documentation to upload ahead of my biometrics appointment in a few weeks... Can I just confirm my understanding that my passport should stand in as my 'proof of living in the UK' for the last 3 years is correct? I think I read it on the list of documents before I submitted it, but ofc the supplied list of documents needed doesn't say a word about what proof is needed for where I've been living the last 3 years and now I can't find where I read it... :/ Thanks in advance, everyone!
