The Pregnancy and Parenting board has become very busy recently – which is great! – but we thought it would be good to list a few ground rules to help maintain a happy and supportive environment.
Everyone is welcome to post here, whether you have many children, one or no children; or whether you have specialist, professional knowledge or not.
Some of the topics that come up can be quite delicate issues, such as miscarriage, abortion, circumcision etc, and many people have strong feelings about these. Please try and be sensitive to other people’s opinions and feelings and be aware that some people posting may have been affected personally by the issue at hand. That is not to say that you should not freely express your own opinion, just please do so in a way that respects other points of view.
Please remember that some people posting here are raising children in a country other than their own and may have little or no family support around them. The P&P board should be a place they can come to for support and advice on everything from pregnancy tests to prom night.
In short – let’s please respect and support each other.
