FLR(M) finance
« on: December 07, 2021, 04:40:12 PM »
Hi all,
The last time I applied for Flr(m) the website was very different and allowed me to select the kind of employment my partner is in and what kind of route I would be using to prove that we meet the financial requirements but this time around it only seems to have 6 months?

Do I just fill everything in with it saying the 6 months and then at the end just put the last 12 months of evidence and a extra details page with how we are using the last 12 months?

Also my partner receives carers allowance now which he didn't previously, does this mean we dont need to prove a specific amount anymore?

bonus question, what on earth do i put on the application when he makes various amounts a month in areas and it only allows one number input?

Thanks!

I believe there should be a question asking something along the lines of:

'Have you been earning the same amount continuously, above the threshold, throughout the last 6 months?' (paraphrased because I can't remember the exact wording)

Which is basically asking: are you applying under Category A (6 months of income)?

If you tick yes, it should ask you to send 6 months of payslips and bank statements, as per category A

If you tick No, it should ask you to send 12 months of payslips and bank statements, as per category B

It's up to you. Technically, if he receives Carer's Allowance, you can apply as exempt from meeting the £18,600 financial requirement and can apply using Adequate Maintenance instead.

However, if you can meet the £18,600 financial requirement anyway, it may be easier just applying under Category B and not mentioning the Carer's Allowance at all.

Is it asking for monthly or annual income?

If it's monthly, I would work out an average monthly income he earns based on his total earnings over the last 12 months.

If it's annual, I'd put the total income earned over the last 12 months.
