Sponsors name (Fiance to FLR M)

Hello,

I remember someone saying something about this previously but I can't seem to find it, I apologise.

My wife who is the UK sponsor hasn't changed her name on any official documentation yet. Do I refer to her by the name that's shown on her passport and documents on my application or do I put her as having my last name but explain why she hasn't changed it officially?

If she has used a different name on some of the documents you're using as cohabitation evidence you can mention that in your cover letter, but plenty of people don't ever change their names so its not like it will cause confusion if she doesn't have your last name.

Someone might be along to say that you should pick one or the other, but I suspect it doesn't matter much - my title is "Dr" and has been since before I got married but half my stuff says "Miss" still just because I never bothered to update it (ie DVLA letters, since it costs money to change your name but not your address), and my visa went through fine.
