ILR Early April Application -- need check please!!
« on: January 24, 2022, 12:43:39 PM »
I’m applying for ILR in the first week of April 2022. My last visa was given in October 2019. We just want to make sure our list of documents is correct and we haven’t missed anything.
If anyone would please have a look and let us know what we need to change, or anything we may have missed, it would be very much appreciated.

Individual - A (applicant)
7 months payslips, signed
7 months bank statements
P60s - 2019, 2020, 2021
Contract and Employment letter, signed
Evidence of travel outside UK 2017-2022
Cover letter
Biometric Residence Permit
Passport

Individual - J (spouse)
7 months payslips, signed
7 months bank statements
Contract and Employment letter
Passport

Joint Evidence/Proofs:
Marriage license
Tenancy Agreements 2019-2021, 2021-2023
EDF bills - dec 2021, dec 2019, dec 2020, June 2020, June 2021
Council Tax - 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022

October 2019: J - bank statement or Sky bill. A - bank statement.
March 2020: J & A - council tax
January 2021: J - Scottish widows/ tax letter A- bank statement or phone bill
June 2021: J&A - EDF bill
November 2021: J - water bill; A - bank statement or phone bill.

We are aware that this appears to be a lot of documents for the proof of cohabitation, but after we had compiled 90% of the evidence, we then saw it was suggested it needed to be 5 months apart and from at least 3 sources, so with that in mind, we have the following sources - A - Bank, Phone company, Council, Electric company - J - Bank, Sky, Water company, Life insurance, HMRC, Council & Electric company.

A has a lot of documentation, but all except those listed are a month off of the five month window in one direction or the other. See below:
Letter - April 2021 (us treasury)
Letter - October 2021 (hospital)
Letter - December 2019 (order)
Letter - March 2020 & 2021 (pension)
Letter - November 2020 (doctor)
Letter - February 2020 (bank)
Letter - April 2020 (phone)

Plus the completed online application and life in the uk test (booked February 3)

grlshadow-

I am by NO means an expert. I am going to be applying myself early next year. But it's a little confusing how you have broken up your joint evidence. From past applications, I believe they are very strict about the joint evidence being from the specific months they are due to fall in. Maybe if you could list the exact five months spread out between FLR and ILR and what evidence you have for those months. Perhaps someone who is smarter than me can speak on if they will accept evidence outside of the months? If that's what is happening from what I understand.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry it took me so long to reply to you. It's a bit hectic at the moment  :)
This is the list of proofs and the months they'd require:
October 2019: J - bank statement or Sky bill. A - bank statement.
March 2020: J & A - council tax
January 2021: J - Scottish widows/ tax letter A- bank statement or phone bill (have both)
June 2021: J&A - EDF bill
November 2021: J - water bill; A - bank statement or phone bill (have both)

We only listed things separately at first to ensure we had enough different sources for the documentation. Sorry to be confusing  :-\\\\

You don’t quite have enough there - you need 6 items in each name, but we usually recommend sending 7 to cover the beginning and end of the 2 years, and you’ve only listed 5.

They need to be spaced every 5 months between October 2019 and April 2022, so you need 1 item in each name from each of the following months:

October 2019
March 2020
August 2020 - this one is currently missing
January 2021
June 2021
November 2021
April 2022 - this one is currently missing (for obvious reasons, as you don’t have it yet)

We do have items for august, I just missed them when I was writing the list. As for April, I’m planning to apply between the 1st and the 3rd, so I won’t have any for April, just March. Two of our items are in both of our names (different items) which does equal out to six. I do have additional items in our names separately that overlap some of those months, as well.

What you have listed already, with the August one included, is all fine… you’ll just want to add a 7th document from March 2022 to cover the period between November 2021 and end of March 2022

So I’d go with:

October 2019
1. J - Sky bill. (Source 1)
1. A - bank statement. (Source 2)

March 2020:
2. Joint: J & A - council tax (Source 3)

August 2020
3. J - whatever you have
3. A - whatever you have

January 2021
4. J - Scottish widows/ tax letter (Source 4)
4. A- bank statement

June 2021:
5. Joint: J&A - EDF bill (Source 5)

November 2021
6. J - water bill (Source 6)
6. A - bank statement

March 2022
7. J - whatever you have
7. A - whatever you have
