Upcoming Change to Land Registry Website
« on: April 21, 2022, 02:26:33 PM »
I received an email today from the UK Land Registry website.  Beginning April 28 the "Find a Property" service will be replaced with "Search for land and property information" service.

Here's the body of the email:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear customer

We are contacting you as you have used our Find a property service in the last six months.

Please be aware that from 8pm on Thursday 28 April 2022, our Find a property service will no longer be available.

Any documents purchased within the last 36 hours of the Find a property service will not be available after this time.

All services found in Find a property can now be accessed via our Search for land and property information service.

Search for land and property information provides the following information for free:

the price paid for a property;
the property description (usually the address); and
whether there are any restrictive covenants or easements.
To buy and download the title register or title plan, you’ll need to create an account in the service and pay £3. You will need to set up a new account in the Search for land and property information service as we will be deleting all Find a property accounts.

Search for land and property information contains all the features of Find a property and more.

Guidance on how to use the Search for land and property information service and how to set up an account can be found in our user guide.

Read our user guide
If you have any further questions, please contact HM Land Registry at https://customerhelp.landregistry.gov.uk/search-land-property/ .

Kind regards
