Also adding my IILR timeline for reference as I found comfort seeing these while waiting. It was a standard, set M

Application date: 2/10/23
Biometrics: 21/10/23 (paid Birmingham)
Approval: 4/1/24 at 15:00

Fairly straightforward. I asked in a separate thread about not having council tax bill since we moved into a new build. I added a cover letter explaining this (as advised here) and they seemed happy with that.

Positive vibes to those waiting and/or soon to apply!

Congratulations!!!   :)

Larrabee, ksand24, mbmoffat and all those who posted comments on this thread, thanks to all your help our ILR was approved yesterday.  We submitted on 30th Dec in the middle of the day and were offered super priority, had the biometrics on Sunday 14th and received a decision yesterday mid morning.

Although everything is perfectly legit, above board and we have nothing to hide, the advice on this forum for the ILR (and the FLR before that) has been spot on in ensuring we crossed the t's and dotted the i's in terms of making sure everything was covered and preparing for each application in advance. Without this advice there's a chance I would have tripped up somewhere and risked being caught out because I missed a date here or there or submitted docs for the wrong period etc.

We're just waiting for the BRP to come through and will be straight onto Citizenship.  I'm off to mbmoffat's thread on that process now to ask a few questions and clarify a few things.

Thanks again all.

Hi,
Just a quick update on my ILR application. Received my approval email this morning. Ever so grateful for the help these boards have given me over the years and for those who have taken their own personal time to respond to my queries. For anyone who might find this information helpful, my ILR timeline is as follows:

Standard application
Online application submitted: 15 December 2023
Biometrics: 11 January 2024
ILR approval email: 18 March 2024

Best of luck to all of those still in the visa process! x

Congratulations to those who have received their ILR.

I'm in the process of gathering the paperwork and then it's submitting the application.

I'm going for non-priority as it looks to be around 8-12 weeks (roughly) before a decision is made, if lucky, it could be weeks.

To those in the same boat, hang in there, we're nearly over the finishing line. 🙂

For the scanning of the documents, is there a guideline for this?
I can't remember in which DPI you need to scan the documents - will it say online how to do this?
I'm on the brink of submitting my ILR(M) application.

When is the best time to check for free appointments?

I can't see any at the moment, I've submitted the application form and paid for it.

Now on the legendary Soppy Steria website  ;D

£143 for a standard appointment. Like the application fee wasn't enough haha!

I don't know if you're still looking but you could try around midnight, or just check randomly or a bit further afield. For your previous scanning question, I think it was 300dpi.

I've found a free appointment in Manchester, it was available around 8:30am.

I'm going to be scanning the documents and uploading them now so it's done and out of the way.

The appointment is a couple of weeks away.

We recommend scanning in black and white or greyscale, not in colour.
Keep the resolution between 150 dpi (dots per inch) to 300 dpi.
