wrong address on bank statements FLR (M)
« on: April 24, 2022, 11:18:58 PM »
We are gathering evidence for applying but have just run into an issue - my husband thought he had updated his address on his bank account when we moved out of his parents’ house a little over 2 years ago - but we are just now realising he never did. He receives paperless statements so it just never was something we caught.

Do you think if we include this information in our cover letter and maybe some additional proof of address through his e-bank (Revolut, which I know isn’t sufficient for standalone financial evidence but maybe helpful as an addition in this case?) we’ll be okay? We have plenty of address correspondence otherwise but we are just worried about the address on the bank statements not matching for the whole of the 30 month period.

There is no requirement for the address of the bank statements to be the address you're living at so you can just explain as you have here that you forgot to update it. You will however need to get those online statements stamped on every page by the bank or have the bank provide an accompanying letter to verify that they are genuine, in line with the requirements. Failing that you could have your bank print them all and send them to you in the post. And have them switch off paperless in any case.

Just checking too that you are aware that online accounts are not acceptable for the correspondence evidence no matter if the address is correct, they have to be physical letters/statements sent to you by post.
