Citizenship Referee
« on: June 20, 2022, 05:42:54 PM »
Hi all,

For citizenship, they have Director of a Limited company on the list of accepted referees.
Do you think they will also accept Assistant Director? Or it needs to be exactly "Director"?

The list is not exhaustive. That might be ok.  Do you know anyone who is a member of a professional body, even if not on the list? That's what we went with.
And remember, your professional person does not need to be a UKC.

Thanks for the reply. I only know people from a professional body who are part of the family so I can't use them. All the people I know that are part of the list are also part of my husband's family., unfortunately  :(

The assistant director its my manager at work, I was thinking about asking her as I don't have any other options, but I am also scared they might ask for a second referee and I don't have any backups   :\\\'(

I would think it's okay.  As Larabee said, the list isn't exhaustive.  It's very much a "someone who is in good standing with good ethics, verifying that you are who you say you are".  If you use her and get push back (unlikely), you could always ask your doctor surgery, though they often charge a fee!

OT would be just fine. Member of a professional body.
