ILR application question
« on: August 10, 2022, 09:13:34 AM »
Hi! I am sorry if this was asked previously, but wondering exactly what numbers they want when they ask this question

If you have previously made an application to remain in the UK, you can find a reference number on letters from the Home Office, called 'Our Ref' or 'Case ID'. If not known, select 'No'.

I have my initial BRP card pick up from 2017 that has something labelled as our reference. For my FLR application i have a UAN number? But cant find anything labelled reference. Is this an issue? I can try to go back through my paper work again. Thanks in advance.

ILR application question

You likely won’t have a Home Office reference number so you can tick No.

If you do have one, it will be listed at the top of an in-country letter from the Home Office and should consist of 1 letter + 7 numbers, the letter being the first letter of your surname.

Home Office reference numbers are usually only issued on letters when you have received a visa refusal, are lodging an appeal against a visa refusal, or are applying for asylum/refugee status.

thank you again for the help :)

If your FLR(M) Case ID number is in the format A1234567 (letter and 7 numbers), then you can put it in.

If not, you can just tick No and leave it blank.

Thank you! Last one(this application felt so much easier than in the past!)

So application is done, we are just finishing up getting documents and plan on submitting the 23rd. I want to do super premium so do I not hit submit until 1 am to try to get an appointment? And keep looking at 1 in case I don’t get one that day? Or do I submit and the continue to look at 1 am every day to try to get a super premium appointment?

You can go to the submission page and keep checking it each day, but DO NOT actually submit or pay for the visa until the Super Priority option shows up.

If you submit and pay WITHOUT purchasing Super Priority, you CANNOT add it later and you will be stuck with the standard 6-month processing.

Frazie, in the last 6-8 weeks everyone who has looked at 1am has had the Super Priority option pop up and grabbed it.   At least those who reported on here.
I am confident you will see it at 1am.   I was so amped up I then didnt sleep until 3am as the other bits start coming through and it all makes sense... relieved too....   let us know how you go.

Best,

Matt

I'm interested to see what happens when the clocks go back in the autumn. I'm guessing the spots will be available at midnight then.

I would imagine so - I thought it was midnight that slots were released, then people were saying 1am, and I only recently realised it was likely due to the clocks changing.

I assume the UKVI computer system operates on GMT… which I should have realised earlier, since we only use GMT at work too, so I’ve spent almost 12 years working on the same timezone all year round, regardless of where in the world I’m based.
