No, just one. There is so little information required it wouldn’t get lost

Ok. Its the first thing that is asked for under "Proof of Application" - it actually specifies the passport in that category. Did you also upload it in the travel history then?

No, you just upload it to Proof of Application. For citizenship, the majority of the categories are not relevant and can be ignored.

The only categories you really need to use are:

Proof of Application
- your passport

Proof of Identity/Travel History
- your BRP card
- your UK spouse's passport

Other
- any other documents you are including (marriage certificate, referee forms etc.)

Thanks for that Ksand24. I was definately confused on some and was gonna spread them all out into different places. Cheers!

No problem :).

The upload categories are generic in order to cater for all types of application (FLR(M), FLR(O) work/student visa extensions, ILR, citizenship etc.), so you only need to use the ones that are relevant to your specific application type.

Citizenship has very few document requirements, so you can ignore most of the upload categories.

All you should need to provide is the following:
- current passport
- previous passport, if you initially entered the UK on a different passport than your current one (i.e. if you have renewed your passport since moving here)
- your ILR BRP card
- your spouse's UK passport
- your marriage certificate
- 2 signed referee forms

Just for clarification - so are divorce decrees not needed? Or just the marriage certificate to my spouse? Thanks!

Quick question... trying to decide if I need an employer clarification letter.

My employer address that I used is the one on my P60. I have a letter from my employer for something, and the address on the letterhead was nearly the same except it had a different top line. I asked my company why, although I assumed it was to better direct people as the business is in an old mill complex. He said no, that both addresses are correct. It's just that the software for tax and the header don't have enough space for the full address - which includes both lines. The full, long address has 7 lines.
I've only put the 5 appearing on my P60 in my application and already submitted online, so I can't change it. I've written an explanation addressing it that I'm attaching to my cover letter. And offering to provide my P60 if needed. I can also say if they have questuons about it, to contact the person who wrote the original letter. But I'm not quite sure if that is enough? Should I ask my company to write a quick letter of explanation? Seems so stupid to do with this as its probably a common issue and my explanation should be enough. But I still have 2 weeks I can upload things before my biometrics, so it is do-able.

Hi. I thought I'd bump this question of mine to see if anyone had any thoughts? I've recently been interpreting 0 responses as people thinking I'm over-reacting (which would be valid) but just thought I'd push it one more time just in case. :)
Any thoughts appreciated

I do think that you are overthinking and I say that as someone who always says to explain anything which needs an explanation.
The thing about citizenship is that they are going to get in touch if they need more information.

I agree with larrabee... I really don't think it matters.

As long as the company name and the postcode are correct, they can find the company's full address anyway. And the only real reason they are for your employment details at all is so they can use your tax reference to check that you have been paying your taxes via PAYE.

Can the referee date their referee form before the date of submission?

If yes, is it the 28 day rule just like the visas? If no, does it need to be the same date as the application or between application and biometrics?

I posted the same question a little while ago as I had my referees sign the day before my submission cause it was hard to get time with both of them. I didn't get a specific yes or no answer, but I was reassured that it probably doesn't matter. The application does let you print off the form prior to submission, which led me to believe that I could have it signed before hand to have it ready for submission.  Biometrics did have an option for next day appointment if I was willing to shell out over 200 quid, so it just made sense to me that you could have it prior. So maybe just play it safe and do the 28 days rule? It's a good one to go with.
Well, at least this is what I'm hoping as I've already uploaded and submitted my documents and have my appointment Friday, so no turning back now :)
