I'm going to go ahead and submit the citizenship application in December during the Xmas holidays now that we are not going on holiday.

For the reference bit, is there a list anywhere on which people/professions etc we can use?

I'm hoping it's straightforward, if I have any Q's i will let pop them in here.

It's towards the bottom of this page. But the list is not exhaustive. Our referee was not on the list but was a member of a professional body.

That's great, once the chaos at work is over and the Christmas holidays have started I'm going to get this submitted.

Roughly what is the average waiting time?

I'm hoping to go abroad with the wife and kids in April school holidays. Hoping the application is approved by then.

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a good Christmas with loved ones. I'm filling out the citizenship application and come across a few questions I just want to double-check.

Was your indefinitely leave to enter or remain granted under the EU settlement scheme?
Is this yes and the reference number I provide is this on the email I received confirming my ILR has been successful?

Do you have a previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain where you had to prove your knowledge of English?
So I need to answer yes here and then state FLR(M). Correct? https://prnt.sc/LfRTJgG8Njc_

Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?
I've answered no here, our kids are British so there are no other dependants, the wife is dependent on me but I don't need to apply as I am already British, correct?

The answer to this is No, because you are not on the EU Settlement Scheme (which is only for family members of non-British EU citizens living in the UK).

Is English your wife’s first language? If so, your answer is No, because she would not have had to take any English language tests in order to get her previous visas.

If English is not her first language, she would likely have needed to take and pass a specific English language test for all her previous visa applications, so the answer will be yes, and you would list all her previous applications.

The answer is No, as your wife is the only one applying for citizenship.

She has done the A2 and B1 tests and has the certificate for it as English wasn't/isn't her first language.

I've just put down FLR(M) / ILR(M) - do I need to specify A2 and B1 here? https://prnt.sc/LfRTJgG8Njc_ @ksand24

I missed a recent holiday and only realised after submitting my app.

Do I simply write on cover letter when I upload docs?

Also, where do I find the ILR visa detail now it’s an Evisa?

Thanks

Hi! Question about referee forms - do they have to be signed in wet ink?  Given that they are scanned in rather than mailed, we're wondering if we can just get them signed digitally and use a digital photo (rather than gluing one to the paper)?  Our referees don't live near us so it's a pain otherwise!

Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?
I'm not sure what to answer here. It's no. Or is it yes because we've applied for FLR(M) and ILR(M)?

Proof of living in the UK for Mrs SHAGUFTA JAVED for 5 years if applying in your own right or 3 years if applying as the spouse of a British Citizen
Is her Pakistani passport more than enough? Her old and new one? It will show that she has not travelled outside of the UK since entering the UK.

Hello,
I am willing to help if you have questions regarding your application.

But I do not find in this posting a question to which I can respond.

Please reconsider how you are presenting your questions.

I had them signed with wet ink and scanned over to me.    I suggest avoiding a digital signature.

@mbmoffat the picture that needs to be attached to the referee forms, does this need to be a passport size photo?

I've had one referee sign it digitally using DocuSign & the other i believe looks like it's hand signed.

I don't see anywhere in the guidelines where it mentions it needs to be wet ink signed.

I have been wondering this too. Thank you for your link.  :)

I have been working for a "limited" company for a little over 3 years and will likely ask one of the managers, as it seems they'd qualify. One of them is also a former police officer.

yes passport photo.
I decided to get the doc wet ink signed as for someone to print, sign and scan back to me is quite simple.
For me, the time saving by using docusign was not worth the risk.

A wet ink signature will not be turned down.   We cannot say the same, definitively, for an electronically signed document.

Good luck!
