Possible (probable) silly question.....does it matter if your referee forms were signed/dated before you submit your online application (but within the 28 days prior to)?
The application gave an opportunity to print out the forms before payment/submission as well as after. I chose to print them out at the first opportunity and had them signed by both people yesterday, and just submitted my application online today.
I didn't realise you had 3 months to book biometrics or have any idea how much time I'd have before getting  free appointment. So I just wanted to make sure I had all my docs ready to go before I applied.

Then after payment came the "what you must do now" page, which listed the referees. And my paranoid, anxiety driven brain is actively searching out for things to worry about. So now it's fixating on the date on the referee forms. I printed out extra forms, so I can just bug my referees again. But if someone could just tell me I'm over-worrying, that'd be aaaaawesome. Promise I'll let this one go if you do lol.

Your submission will be fine. If they need clarification they will contact you.
The nature of the process (and the critical importance to our lives) makes everyone paranoid!...
I am a firm believer that the UK Spouse Visa process is fundamentally robust - if you meet the criteria you will get the visa.

Part of the reason I am so confident in the UK process is I have first-hand experience of applying for residencies and citizenship in other countries where the Visas are discretionary and subject to political bias.   Everything considered the UK process is very good.

Don't worry, it will happen.

Hi everyone.

I'm scanning my documents this afternoon and I was hoping to get some feedback on which parts to upload things into. For example, my passport is supposed to be used as proof of application, proof of living in the UK 3 years, and proof of ID/travel history.....do I have to upload my passport scan 3 separate times so that they go in each of those categories????

Otherwise would the following make sense for where things are going???

Life Events = Marriage License
Sponsors/Employment = Spouse's passport
Proof of ID/Travel History = Referee forms
                                                  BRP card
Other = Life in UK Test (I know I've given the reference number, but just wanted to give the scan as well)
              Cover Letter
Old American Driver License Record (supporting evidence for speeding tickets I had in my youth)

Am I missing anything????

Does anyone have a copy of what the referee is required to fill out on the form? I know I need their personal details for my application (Name, DOB, Address), but wondering how much they need to fill out on the form itself. I have a few people I was thinking about asking, but I wanted to be able to fully explain what details I need from them first so they have a good idea of what they would need to provide. As I can't move forward with my application until their details are filled out, I can't see what the form will look like they need to complete yet.

Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much! Much simpler than I expected after all of the other visas  :D

They are happy to help but I feel a little bit happier knowing its a simple form they don't need to spend loads of time on.

Thanks again for the quick response.

There are no referee forms for ILR. Have you looked at mbmoffat’s list? It’s helpful.

I appreciate the help, Rick. But this is the thread for Citizenship (after ILR). Its not the one for ILR. So I'm applying for citizenship, not ILR
