UKVCAS Appointments-Can't Get ANY this week? Help!!
« on: September 05, 2022, 02:47:56 PM »
Hi All,

I finally submitted my ILR application and paid for Super Priority Service. I was feeling really good about it after all of the stress of the application until I found out there were NO APPOINTMENTS for this week with UKCVAS. I have checked multiple locations with no luck. Any tips for getting an appointment as the soonest I could find was 14 September and I urgently need my application processed so I can travel outside of the UK.

Please help! Feel like my £800 was wasted if it's going to take over a week just to do biometrics.

They release the new appointments at 1am. Try then. Good luck!  :)

Will they release more for the week, or is it just for 30 days out? I remember having a similar problem last time and *think* I did luck out by checking back at night, but it's been awhile so the details of what I did are still hazy.

You can keep trying, but to be honest, going off the availability during last couple of years, I’d imagine it’s unlikely you’ll be able to get an appointment within a week. Though you may be lucky and find a last-minute cancellation.

I think most people generally end up waiting around 2-4 weeks for an appointment… even the ones that are supposedly ‘same-day’ or ‘next-day’ often have a wait of a couple of weeks… so there being availability on 14th September is actually pretty good for UKVCAS.

The Super Priority service only applies to the processing time after you have attended the appointment - but there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to book an appointment for right away.

Have you tried looking at centres in other locations too? There are different types of appointments offered at different centres, so you may have better luck trying another centre.

Yes, I am looking all over for appointments. There are several locations which show as if they have appointments earlier but then if you click they actually don't. By checking every single location I've found ones as early as Friday, but it'll be a 4 hour train journey for me. There's another on Monday at a more convenient location and so if I can't get anything better than I'll book.

I do recall this appointment booking being a nightmare. But I also recall by checking again it did help find something. Just can't remember if this was only for future appointments further out or if ones during the same week pop up when they add appointments so looking for some advice from those who have recently applied.

The UKVCAS biometric appointments are released/added at 9am each morning for 28 days ahead.  We decided to wait the 28 days as it was only 1 hour drive away and we had the twins (age 10) with us so that suited.

An appointment for Monday at a convenient location is pretty good, I would just book that.

As Ksand mentions "Super Priority" refers to post Biometric application processing and means you will receive the decision officially "within a day of Biometric Appointment" but usually within about 3 hours.
