IDV app?

We just applied for citizenship and rather than be invited to schedule biometrics, we are under consideration to use the IDV app? They said we would hear from them in 7-10 days.  I was hoping to schedule biometrics asap, how long is it taking these days for those who use this app instead?

If you use the app you dont need a biometrics appointment.  We got the App invitation 4 days after making the application but it was over a bank holiday.

Thanks! And was it pretty easy just to load up everything they wanted to see on a phone? My phone is super old and probably won't download this but my son has a newer iPhone.

How long did it take from application to citizenship ceremony for you?

My iphone has access to my desktop computer files and I had everything already in there so I found it easy.  I am, however, obsessively organised.
A less tech savvy friend also found it easy.
