Do uploaded documents need to be certified?
« on: September 26, 2022, 07:06:55 PM »
Hi all,

When uploading documents to VFS Global, do these documents need to be certified copys, for example when uploading my marriage certificate can I just scan the original document or do I need to get a certified copy and scan that in?

Apologies if this seems like a silly question.

Thanks

You can scan the original documents.

But any financial documents which are online, as opposed to on paper, should be authenticated according to the guidance.

Thank you for the response, as we are using the cash savings route we were going to print off our statements and go into the branch to have stem stamped and signed before uploading, do you think this is sufficient?

Thank you.

Yes, that will be fine.

That's exactly what the official guidance says you need to do.
