Citizenship Application - 2 Questions
« on: December 01, 2022, 11:54:12 AM »
Hi all

I checked out the link to the PDF version of the online citizenship application and I have two quick questions:

(1) Question 1.1 says "Give any reference numbers used in your immigration applications"
Can someone tell me what they mean? Is it the "UAN" number from my ILR application?
The question does say applications (plural) so do they mean FLR and original application as well?
Or am I reading this incorrectly?

(2) A later question asks if I passed the Life in the UK Test - with a "Yes" or "No" box. I wasn't required write the test as I am over 65 (!) but I hate to tick the "No" box. I assume they will cross-check with Date of Birth but just wonder if there are any other older-65s who have encountered this.

Thanks!

For Citizenship applicaiton if you have the reference numbers for your previous Spouse, FLR and ILR previous applications add them. Some have used the BRP numbers when they didnt have the reference numbers.
Re the Life in the UK test, not sure.  Ksand might know for sure but I would tick "no" - you cant tick "yes". I have a lot of confidence in UKVCAS catching stuff like this. I have come across several mistakes by UKVCAS in the past (rare) - they are always genuine they always iron them out.

Good luck!

Matt

I agree with Matt that you can't tick yes. If you apply online though, I would hope that the online application would have a question to complete to explain your age exemption. If not, just explain in the any other information section. You'll be providing your passport which proves it.

I don't think we bothered with the reference numbers at all.  :)
