When to apply for ILR

I entered the UK on a fiancé visa and am currently on my second FLR M. As with the FLR M applications, do I apply for ILR within — and not before— 28 days of my current FLR M expiring?

You can apply from 28 days before the 5th anniversary of your first grant of FLR(M).

Much appreciated. My BRP expires in early November 2023, and I received a Home Office letter in early September 2018 saying I’d been granted my first FLR M . Does that mean I could apply within the 28 days before the five-year anniversary of the September 2018 date?

Essentially, yes... but you need to know the exact start date of your first FLR(M) BRP card, as that is the date that your 5-year count to ILR started.

Do you still have that BRP card (or a copy of it) that you can check for the start date? Alternatively, does the letter state on it the start date of that BRP card?

You can apply for ILR up to 28 days before that date in 2023.
