Citizenship- I'm Next
« on: January 26, 2023, 03:05:52 PM »
Just a place holder for the next phase of my journey.

Started filling out my application today but I'm coming off of an overnight shift so I quickly lost motivation and am just laying in my bed instead.

Good luck Tami!  You'll love the feeling of being just as British as anyone else.

I think Tami's already more Scottish than most of the country!  ;)

I've been practicing my Scots. I have been fully accepted here and I find myself complaining less and less about my access to American food.  Lol

I memorized all the differences between all the different variations of supposed "countries" and offshore this and that for the life in the UK test.  Now I've completely forgotten all of it.  Sorry Tami if you aren't happy being called British!    What's the latest on Popeye's chicken?

I'll be British by nationality and Scottish by civic pride.

Still waiting for the Popeye's to open!

Sometimes I really envy you guys up in Scotland.  The only negative thing about being a UK citizen is that I am now collectively responsible for the evil done in my name by the Tory government.  Just yesterday, Braverman the Home Secretary cancelled several of the changes that were supposed to happen in response to the horrible way people were treated during the Windrush scandal.  No excuse for that other than evil racism.

At least you guys in Scotland vote can't be blamed!
