Citizenship questions
« on: February 08, 2023, 06:05:15 PM »
Hi all, it’s almost time for me to apply and I have been working on the application. Regarding one of my referees, I spoke with him today and his passport is not current. Although he does have his expired one, will this be an issue? For my professional referee, I have a retired head teacher who is still licensed and currently teaching part time. Any doubts about them?
Thanks in advance!
Rick

I'd use someone who has a valid passport. I think your professional referee sounds great.

I was afraid that might be the case, and I appreciate your help. I do know other people who would work. So….looks like plan B

Ok, so once again I gave the government a fat chunk of money and I’m uploading documents.
The categories the provide always suck but some help about where to put the few documents needed would be appreciated.
Categories are:
Proof of Application (when clicked it says my passport)
Other
Residence in the UK (I’m assuming my ILR BRP)
Finances
Proof of business
Life events
Medical Information
Sponsors/Employment
Proof of Identity/ Travel History
Educational

Any input would help! Thank you!

This is for naturalisation, not ILR, correct?

Seriously, does anyone have suggestions? There is so little documentation required but it sure looks iffy as far as where to upload it.

I'll just link it here.

Rick, you might want to ask in that thread but most of the categories won't be needed at all.

Right, so I did my best on categories. One question left is since they no longer give you a pass certificate for Life in the UK, is there anything needed besides your reference number in the application?
