Awesome news Rick! Congratulations!

I really need to get my finger out and get my application submitted. Nothing stopping me other than my own motivation to fill out the form.

I started the application then saved it because I was going to have to walk upstairs to look up what dates I was out of the country then got distracted by my work life.

I'm in Crete right now but will finish it up when I get back home.

Give us some details!  I am headed to Crete in August and have no idea what to expect.

Crete is absolutely stunning. If you ever get the chance to go... go.

We are staying at an all inclusive 5 star resort however we aren't one of those stay at the resort and never venture out couples. Nor do we frequent British centred pubs or seek out the British expats. Such a stereotype of British holiday makers, I know.  Lol

We've rented a car for the week and are seeing some amazing sights and learning about the rich history and culture of the Cretans.

What part of the island will you be heading to and how long will you be here?

We are going to a town in the North East called Sitia and will be there for a week.

We are in Plaka today and the temperature is only 21 degrees and I've never felt heat so much. I'm absolutely roasting. I couldn't imagine being here in August. We are on a boat going to Spinalonga just now. I'll report back.

This is on the North East Coast.
