Trying not to worry, but is it normal for only the standard service to appear at this hour?
Do we need to wait and check at an ungodly hour like midnight ?!

We’re in a bit of a pickle now, not sure how we can expedite this.

So context.

Current BRP expiry date: 22nd April 2023

1. Submitted SET(M) Form and paid for Super Priority (£3204) today

2. Earliest appointments showing on UKVCAS (either paid or free) is around end of April.

3. My wife is expected to travel for work around mid april.

What is absolutely infuriating me right now is we’ve paid for super priority yet there are no appointments? I don’t understand why would you expect someone to pay Super Priority and then not have any appointments available for over a month!

My question therefore is, is she able to travel at the moment and return back to the UK prior to her current BRP expiry? (even though she has submitted her application online, but has not been able to get her biometrics appt)

Can she travel, come back and then figure out her biometrics appt?

Thanks!!

Have you looked at centres further away?

Leaving the country after applying will see the application withdrawn automatically, per the immigration rules.

Edit to add the language:

"34K. Where a decision on an application for permission to stay has not been made and the applicant travels outside the common travel area their application will be treated as withdrawn on the date the applicant left the common travel area."

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-part-1-leave-to-enter-or-stay-in-the-uk

If she leaves after BRP expiry she will also lose the ability to apply for SET(M) from within the country because she would re-enter as a visitor, meaning she would likely have to start the entire visa process over again from outside the UK.

Managed to find a paid appointment for 12th April.
It is what it is, work travel plans will need to be rescheduled

Glad you got an earlier one - you could still keep checking for cancellations before April 12th as well.

Unfortunately, there’s usually a wait of at least couple of weeks, maybe a month, to get any kind of appointment, paid or unpaid.

Is there a way to check for appointments on other days without cancelling the original one?
I don’t think that’s as possible when I was on the site
