ILR Application - Cash Savings Route
« on: May 13, 2023, 10:50:38 AM »
Hi all!

Hope you are all well. It is coming up to my turn for ILR and was hoping to have one of the lovely experts here check what I planned to submit. Over the years you have all given me loads of peace of mind and helped me successfully get the other two visas.

Filling out SET(M), 5 year route, cash savings route.

Just checking all of the documents so once I apply I am ready to get it all scanned! Plan to apply after 18 May 2023 (landed in UK 15 June 2018)

Application Documents
- Applicant's passport (only passport I have held since moving to the UK)
- Signed sponsor's declaration (part of online application).
- Life in the UK Test reference

Proof of Identity/Travel History
- Sponsor's UK passport.
- Applicant's BRP card.

Finances
-Bank Statement for ISA covering 3rd May 2022 to 3rd May 2023 showing £34,600 held in an account for over 6 months
-Declaration of savings letter confirming savings over time held in ISA and immediately available from account holder (sponsor/my husband) dated 18 May 2023

Residence in the UK
Accommodation
- Lease agreement in both names.
- Latest council tax bill.
Cohabitation
January 2021 - Tenant Insurance (Joint)
May 2021 - Water Bill (Joint)
September 2021 - Water Bill (Joint)
January 2022 - Bank Statement of Fees (Joint)
May 2022 - Gas & Electric Bill (Joint)
September 2022 - Water Bill (Joint)
January 2023 - Tenant Insurance (Joint)
May 2023 - Water Bill (Joint)

Other
- Marriage certificate.

I plan to stay up and apply the super priority route once I am able to apply  :)

Thank you everyone for your help!

I just realized I have 8 proof of address listed instead of 6/7. Is this too many? I was trying to cover the period from when I last applied (January 2021) to present and those are the most equally spaced I have. Any guidance would be appreciated!

For ILR you need to cover 2 1/2 years from your application date

Can I just double check that documents need to be within 28 days of the application date not the biometrics? Secured my super priority at 1 am today but available biometrics near me were 4 weeks out! Pretty sure it is application but doubting myself so thought it was worth checking!

Yes, the clock stops on the day you submit and pay for the application. All documents must be dated on or before that date, as you have to show you met all the requirements on the day you submitted the online application. Any documents dated after the online application date cannot be considered.

The documents that must be dated no more than 28 days before this date are:
- latest bank statement showing savings or income
- latest payslip (if using employment income to meet the requirement)
- any other documents associated with meeting the financial requirements (i.e. declaration of savings, or the employer letter if using employment income)

Thank you for confirming! I should trust myself more but doubt started creeping in  :)

Do you know if I can use 8 documents to cover the correspondence bit? I have 8 joint pieces every 4 months from January 2021 to May 2023 but might struggle to find ones at different intervals if I only can submit 6.

Thanks again for your help!
