BRP travel urgent question

Hi everyone !
I have a bit of an issue related to my wife’s BRP. We are both away on vacation just now and she has come to an unfortunate realization that she left our BRP at home and won’t have it when entering back into the UK in a few days. She is due to apply for ILR this summer so doesn’t have that yet.

Does anyone know if they will allow her entry by checking the system? Or will we need the BRP and therefore try find a friend to get it for us and take to airport? Last option would be me leaving then driving to home then coming back with BRP while she waits at customs?

They don't even check the BRP anymore when using the egates.

I once came through with my old expired BRP, which I had forgotten to send back, and it look them less than 10 minutes to perform a computer check.

My last 2 trips through I used the egates and no one looks at the BRP.

She will be fine. Don't stress over this one.
