Scanner Fee for Biometrics app.. is it worth it ?
« on: July 25, 2023, 08:43:52 AM »
I did it , I was shaking the entire time ... Does anyone else get nervous or worried that something will go wrong .. I am trying to be so positive about this all

I submitted my application and was lucky enough to get a fee biometrics app , I even paid for the scanner fee ?

has anyone has this done ? is it worth it ?

I did the whole scan thing myself last round on the app so I thought this would be a nice treat  but now I am thinking, would it just be better if I did it myself ?

can anyone comment if it worked out ok for them ?

Many thanks
 :)

Some people are fine doing this, I know of one that they missed scanning something…..but UKVI just requested the missing information. You’ll be fine. I always scanned everything myself because then I could be sure that every last thing was right.

I'm the same as Rick....I trust myself more than others. I check every scanned document 5 times before uploading then check on the website that all the pages are there before fully uploading (website let's you see all pages) and then triple checked against my list that everything is there.

The passports are the worst as it has to be below 6mb and I've always had to rescan them at least twice to get them down to size.

It's time consuming and and anxiety inducing but I'd still rather that then paying the insane fee to have other do it for me and constantly wonder if they missed one.

What sucks is that last time, I asked my processor if he could just make sure that all docs were present and accounted for (I just gave him a number) and he gladly confirmed. Now they want to charge you 49 just to have someone check if your docs are all there and fine. Absolute robbery, in my opinion.

 Thank you both !!

I tried to organise everything with its open labels and title pages , I am hoping that works , I wonder if I can possibly request they scan everything front to back . I will try to question everything once the person is fished.

I hope this works .,, eek
