ILR check list - finally!

Hi all - as everyone always says, I can't quite believe it's ILR time already! Where have the past 5 years gone...

I entered the UK on 27 December 2018 and so am planning to applying the first week in December (or as soon as my bank statements arrive). My application is pretty straightforward: my husband owns our house, we are using his (permanent, salaried) income since he's been in his job over 6 months and there are no children or divorces to consider. We've also saved loads of post over the past few years so had plenty to choose from there.

I'm feeling pretty confident I've got everything covered but would appreciate a check of my documents list anyway as this forum was invaluable for my peace of mind during my first two applications:

Application documents
current passport
previous passport (in maiden name)
husband's passport
BRP
LIUK pass number

Declarations (part of online app) - I only vaguely remember these from last time
spouse declaration
other declaration forms (leave 3rd blank since no 3rd party support)

Accommodation
Land Registry document (Scotland) - ordered October 2023
Latest mortgage statement
Latest council tax statement

Finances
Husband's payslips (end April 2023 - end November 2023)
Husband's bank statement (covering period above)
HR letter confirming: current employment and salary, length of employment, length of time earning current salary, type of employment and payslips (using the template we used for my first app in 2018)

Relationship / correspondence
marriage certificate
November 2023 - post TBD
June 2023 - husband energy bill (26 June) + me phone bill (23 June)
January 2023 - husband credit card statement (18 January) + me credit card statement (17 January)
August 2022 - husband energy bill (24 August) + me phone bill (23 August)
March 2022 - joint council tax statement
November 2021 - husband credit card statement (18 November) + me NHS letter re: GHIC card (18 November)

Bumping as I’m hoping to submit after midnight tonight and get a super priority slot

The online app only has the spouse declaration so I’m assuming the 3rd party ones were only for my spouse visa/FLR.

Also got my November 2023 post, which is the same as for January 2023.

So close now!

I remember the ILR declaration was one less than the FLR one. I forget now (cannot remember from work) but it was fairly straight-forwarded.

So have everything entered into the gov website and just waiting until Midnight when you refresh and hopefully see super priority?

That’s the plan! I’ve had the actual form done for a couple of weeks but have been waiting for my husband’s employer letter to come through.

Here's what I did (my wife is  the non-UK person):

- When Super Priority pops up, select it and Submit the application.
- You pay the money immediately and then get a code emailed to the applicant to log into UKVCAS website (run by Sopra Steria) - I had to nab my sleeping wife's phone and remember her unlock code to get to her emails!
- Follow the link in email to UKVCAS website to register and then enter your postcode and find where Biometrics are available.
- I think (experts will confirm) that only so many are release each night. So pick quickly, but don't rush it. I ended up booking a place 2 weeks later as it was closer to our home
- Be sure to give yourself at least 3-4 days before Biometrics as you will want to upload your pdfs 2 days before Biometrics. And it's nicer to recheck the pdfs.
- Only when at UKVCAS after you upload all your PDFs and then Submit are you ready for Biometrics
- Biometrics. Take your passport/BRP and the big QR print-out that is emailed to you after Biometrics location/date is chosen. I brought along support documentation but it was never asked for.
- ILR approval the next business day -- The card will have an expiry of Dec 2024 as physical cards are being ended and replaced by some electronic thing (I guess associated with your passport)

I was pleasantly surprised that super priority was available when I submitted around 9pm last night AND that I could get a (paid) appointment for Sunday morning. Glad it’ll be a short wait!

Happy to share that I got my approval email this morning!! It’s a relief to be done with the mandatory stuff but definitely going to apply for citizenship in the new year so I can be done with all of this FOREVER
