Infant passport question
« on: October 28, 2024, 06:56:17 PM »
I'm planning on giving birth to my baby outside of the UK next year. My husband is British and I recently just got my British passport (via the 5 year route). We are planning to travel back to the UK after one month of giving birth, do we need to get the infant's British passport first? Or can we travel in with the baby on a visitor visa and apply for the baby's British passport within the UK?

Your baby will be born a Britsh Citizen. A British Citizen cannot have a visa. Baby will need their British Citizen passport to board a plane to the UK.
