We are living in UK and my  husband has his social security paid into a bank in USA. Is this taxable in UK as well as USA?

I believe it is.  As a UK resident I believe it is ONLY taxed in the UK as per the tax treaty. My wife and I are US-UK citizens living in the UK and for sure SS is only taxed in the UK. When we file our IRS tax return the SS is listed on the 1040 but the taxable portion is zero.

Your situation may be different, I am not a tax pro, just reporting our situation for you to compare with.

It may depend on whether he is a US citizen or currently has PR status. I'm a UK citizen/resident and non-US citizen/resident and pay tax on my SSA only in the UK.

If his citizen/residence status is different, then I can't speak to the situation.
