Spousal SSA benefits timeline started
« on: December 12, 2024, 04:51:45 PM »
We sent the fbu our replies to the first set of questions today for spousal benefits for my wife. I will let you know how that goes.

We had to set up an ID Me account for her to track progress.  It didn’t take too long once we got the documents together.
Often we do what makes sense even when it isn't any good.

Received an email today saying the phone interview is scheduled for the first week of February.

It is asking for mostly the same info as for primary benefits with the addition of any time period worked in the states.

It is all a bit confusing as it isn’t always clear whether the information applies to the USC or the spouse but we both will be here for the call so I guess we can work it out then.
