Employer Letter for ILR
« on: December 18, 2024, 05:41:41 PM »
I will applying for ILR on the 5  year route in January.

My partner will need to get a letter from their employer to verify their payslips to show that we meet financial requirements.

Partner currently works for UK Civil Service and their HR is outsourced to private company so may not be straight forward obtaining that letter from them.

Partner's manager (Team Leader - Executive Officer) has already said they would write and sign letter to verify payslips for them if needed, if not the manager above them (Higher Executive Officer) can do it instead.

Is this going to be sufficient for the letter ? I would assume that it would probably would be, but just want to double check. Unless Home Office is particularly picky about getting a letter specifically from HR department ?

Yes, that will be fine.

The official UKVI guidance doesn't even mention HR. In fact, it states the following:

Quote
(bb) Payslips must be:
(i) formal payslips issued by the employer and showing the employer’s name;
or
(ii) accompanied by a letter from the employer, on the employer’s headed paper and signed by a senior official, confirming the payslips are authentic;

Thanks for the response !!!

Would you also say that anyone above the rank of my partners position, i.e. their manager/team leader would therefore qualify as a 'senior official' ?
