Ok, just musing. Color me suspicious. The Gaza/Israel peace deal. I keep having the nagging thought that once Israel has all the living hostages back, the hawks controlling their military will find a reason to start bombing the hell out of Gaza again. And Trump will TACO, blaming it on the people of Gaza somehow, and the whole damned thing will  fold like a house of cards.  That's probably fed by: 1) Trump's prior behavior; and, 2) the fact that once it was announce there would be a cease fire Israel started pounding the hell out of Gaza, saying the truce wasn't in effect yet. I'd have thought that they'd have stopped attacking entirely if the only things they wanted were the hostages back and peace.  (I really do hope I'm wrong.)

The USA news part of it:

I have seen reports that the USA would deploy up to 200 military to help with the coordination of the recovery. Later I saw reports that "no US boots would be on the ground there". And then later I saw reports that there would be US military already stationed in the middle east who would be transferred to a yet-to-be-determined location to coordinate the Israeli withdrawal and humanitarian aid process.  I'm too tired today to look  up the links, but what JPV said seemed to be in direct contradiction to what Hesketh said, neither of which matched a press release from (I think) the Pentagon.  But that seems to be par for the course lately.
