Notary Services at US embassy ...Anyone have a clue...??
« on: January 20, 2025, 05:02:11 PM »
Hi All-
A bit off topic but need to get some documents notarized for tax purposes at the US embassy in London. I have been looking at the website for days and they have not released any new dates for appointments. Is anyone familiar with their process? Do they have a certain day of the week or time that they release the appointments for the next week?

Many thanks,

NWKH

I’d assume that you’re looking at appointment dates via the ais website. I was at the Embassy a few days ago where appointments were plentiful, although not for notary services. I’d suspect that they may have an appointment day per month for such things via American Services at the Consular Services section. Why not just get those documents notarized locally? I had some U.S. documents notarized at my local lawyers, which was accepted.

I’ve used a local lawyer. Cost me £125. I miss my credit union.
Often we do what makes sense even when it isn't any good.

Hi.

Thanks for the replies. I'm sorry I was not clear. I need USA documents notarized, specifically some banking and a Power of Attorney for Florida, so I can't use a local UK solicitor.

I imagine there might be a specific day and time, like perhaps Sunday at 12:01, when they open up the appointments for the week.

I'm hoping someone knows the day or time they open the new week of appointments or anything that can help.

Trying to avoid a costly trip over to the States.

Thanks.

I too had specific FL items. Search for “Notary Public”. They work as if you are actually in FL. My search came back with about three in my area, cost me less then £100 & 100% accepted first time.
