Thank God.

The online renewal service is the fastest yet. Since they've fired the team that developed it, I can only hope  it's still available when I have to renew mine in a few months.

You know, she emailed the naturalization service in Ireland during the first week of Feb (2025), and sent a paper letter via the post to the head of the agency in a week later, just asking for a status update. Included a list of dates she'd previously contacted the service, and screencaps of the last communication (which was around the beginning of the current year) in response to them emailing about a new online portal she should use but could not access as she'd never been sent the link. (The same message also said to not resend materials if they've already been vetted. We have no idea, but assume they were since she was moved to "stage 2" in 2019?)

Nothing but crickets since then.

A simple "Yes" or "No" is all the both of us want at this point. She applied for citizenship in 2018, and was told in 2019 she'd passed all the vetting and a decision would be provided soon. Twice a year since then she's sent an email - a decision would be provided soon was always the response. I really need to know how to be planning for the next major move, and this is a piece of information that is critical to that planning. What we can do is vastly different if she's got her dual citizenship.

I have no idea how to shake things loose over there at this point. This is beyond, beyond frustrating.
