Hi:

After getting ILR more than a year ago, I have applied for UK citizenship, and have made a biometrics appointment.

On the TLS Contact page for uploads, it has given me one link to upload my passport. And that seems to be it. I don't see any links to upload any other documents.

I do have hard copies of my referee forms, as well as my spouse's passport, etc... but I am now guessing that I would need to bring those documents with me for the appointment. ?

I am hesitating only because it says once I have submitted my documents, then I can't go back and submit any more.

Just checking. Thanks!

H

The TLS Contact site does look weird. You should be able to upload more documents besides your passport though. After you upload it, it should appear and give you the option to choose a category. Choose your category and then upload more documents.

Thanks,

It seems that it is only asking for my US passport, which I have uploaded.

I may also try to upload my wife's UK passport, and my referee declarations just to be on the safe side.

It's never easy is it? 7 years and three visa applications later, it's still confusing!!!

cheers,
H

Hey,

I've got a citizenship question too....

Do you need to physically mail in your US passport for the application? The instructions seem to say two things.  I need my passport for other things too in the next 6months...

I'm trying to get my kids USA birth registered too so I need my USA passport to get that appointment (side note - those are seemingly impossible to get those appointments as there are so few available and we live 4hrs from London so have to spend the night!).

Just trying to figure our which task to do first.

No, you don't need to mail anything in.

It used to be the case that you had to submit your US passport for all visa and citizenship applications, but they stopped requiring physical documents a few years ago, when they brought in the scan and upload service through UKVCAS.
