US Passport Renewal from Uk

Hi all, hope everyone is well as it's been a while!

My wife's US passport is up for renewal. I've had a look at the DS-82 online form and had a few questions.

We are having issues with the Zip code for the emergency contact section as the format doesn't seem to accept UK postcodes which is strange as it does for the applicant address! Is it ok to leave this blank? I've read online that this isn't included in US passports anymore.

Once we have the passport does anyone know what the steps are to connect this new passport to a e-Visa?

Probably not real helpful here, but if the U.S. passport renewal form is rejecting a foreign postal code, try entering it without spaces or in uppercase letters. If the issue persists, you might want to contact the U.S. Embassy's passport support team for assistance.
