Meriels book, Permission to Shine-The Gift

Dear Forum Members

I met this Lady at Christmas and what a Lady and what an inspiration! She has written a book about her experiences when she was severely injured in a riding accident, and her life since.

In a wheelchair, since the accident, she is in the process of writing her second book and Permission to Shine-The gift, has gone into it's fourth printing, which is quite an achievement for a self published book!

Meriel, was married to a Polo player, and is the mother of two children,lives in Brisbane, Queensland, here in Australia.

Meriel was injured  in a accident, while bringing up a change horse for a team member at a Polo match. She is now legally blind and confined to a wheelchair.

She ran  a successfull design business before the accident and led quite the social life.

She writes about the accident and her relationships before and after the accident.

She is a remarkable in that when you meet her, there's not a trace of bitterness as result of how her life has changed, not something I could say about myself, put in the same circumstances.
