I am quite certain that  a lot of the mothers from my school have joined...so it's out for me.  I think it tends to be quite a few trailing spouses...which is not bad.

My British neighbor says it's 'daft' but that's from stories she's heard from all the American women around here.  Sometimes my husband sees a group of American women on the train riding back from a meeting...yeah, they are loud and all the other stereotypes! :D

I have this from second hand but I'm told that a lot of the members are, as already pointed out, trailing spouses. My friend thought too many of them were disgruntled and spent way too much time discussing the superiority of the US. Most of them are stay-at-home moms or wives with a bit too much time on their hands. This is just my friends opinion. I know nothing about them personally.  :-\\\\

When one spouse follows the other for a job. Usually it's the woman. So, for example, I'm told a lot of the women in that club are embassy wives, etc.

That's sort of what I'd gathered; hence, I won't fit in at all, or perhaps I'll be *a breath of fresh air*

:)

Either way, hopefully they'll be into some Mary Kay!!  [smiley=gorgeous.gif]

I can't remember where I heard it, but I believe they were described as 'the ladies who lunch' club.
