I'm not impressed by any of the shoes though

I tend to collect 40s style shoes.
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

I bought so many dress patterns my oldest is 1933 (I think) and started learning to sew at the London School of Fashion p/t. I love dressmaking vintage dresses. and costumes for my little one ...she was chuffed with a rainbow brite dress  ;D

Where on portobello? I'm there all the time and will be in about 5 hours, but I haven't noticed vintage stores. Are they closer to highway?

if you go towards the antiques stalls there's vintage shops running on either side of the street. Plus the markets themselves are full of vintage clothes you're gonna need time to sift through the gaudy 70's polyjumpsuits before you find the gems.

There's also a monthly vintage sale in Kensinton and that is posh sometimes celebrities are looking for goods in there. You have to become a member of their vintage circle before they send you flyers to their events but if you have the money and want something Dior or pucci it's worth it. The membership is nothing (£15 or less) Sometimes there's well known designers running around looking for things for their collection.

Yeah - let us know how it all goes!  And find out how many are mom's of kids at my school - if there are a bunch I'm NEVER joining...need to keep away from ASL moms (nothing against them but I see enough at work!).
