I Have Banana Peppers on my Sandwich Today!

Don't tell my husband that,, he is very bummed that when we ordered pizza from Domino's last night, they said they stopped stocking banana peppers for his pizza,,lol.

Yummy!!  I get them on my Pizza at Pizza Express, now I will be craving some.

I'm just so bummed they don't have them at the Subways here.  But now I'll just bring my own stash and put them on myself! 

I thought hubby got them on his subway the last time we went to the one in Bournemouth? Maybe not, will have to ask him. What's the deal with banana peppers? Why are they hard to find here? 

Don't know.  Searched on eBay for them and came up with seeds only - but being touted as "rare" seeds.

Giving serious thought to just growing them myself.

Yummy on sandwiches - but in my Googling I found a recipe for Banana Pepper Casserole...

edited to say that the Casserole calls for Velveeta & Rotel, so I doubt I'll be making it any time soon...

I find banana peppers not quite as hot as jalapeños, but very flavoursome.

i've only had them pickled!

I've had them at Subways before.  Didn't know what they were though.  I don't know if they still have them, cuz I didn't like them very much.   

I picked some off my Subway sandwich today!   

Just remembered that hubby gets them at the kabab place we go to as well. I don't much care for them,, but love jalepeno's.

What are those peppers you get, pale green, medium sized, pickled, at Italian fast food joints, usually with a salad? I love those and have never found them here.
