I hear ya. Since I had to move back to the states just before Christmas 2003, we've seen each other four times. Luckily he came home with me that Christmas, so we were apart from January 04 until March, when I visited him for ten days. Then we didn't see each other until June, when I went over to attend a wedding of some friends of his. Four months passed while he finished his PhD, which was agonizing, especially for him. He came to visit for almost three weeks in October, then went back to defend his thesis. His parents gave him a plane ticket to America for Christmas, so he was just here from Jan. 20 to Feb. 8. We were able to celebrate our second anniversary together, which was really nice.
It does get harder each time we have to say goodbye. I really hope the next time I see him is when we get married. I don't know when that will be, since he still has to find a job and a place for us to live before we can move forward. I'm tentatively hoping for our wedding to be the end of May. I definitely miss being able to snuggle whenever we want, and just the everyday being together that most couples have. I definitely think it's made our relationship stronger though. I know you'll be able to get through it Cookie, you've got less than a month to go. You're so lucky to be getting married in Edinburgh, I used to live there (that's where we met) and I would love to have our wedding there.
